Description

- If you arrive late and matches have already begun, you will be disqualified from the tournament. Please be on time!
Tournament Format: Swiss Tournament - 4 rounds. 4 rounds will result in all players participating in 4 matches (unless you are assigned a Bye Round). 5 rounds if more than 32 participants.
- Win = 3 Points
- Tie = 1 Point
- Loss = 0 Points
- At the end of the rounds, the player with the most points wins.
Each Player MUST bring 3 of their own heroes.
- These heroes will remain the same throughout the tournament.

- Bring 3, Ban 1 - Each round between 2 participants will be a single game.
- Time for each round: 30 minutes.
- Ties are allowed each round.
How to Prepare:
- Plan to arrive 10 minutes early.
- Promo and Mythic cards will not be allowed, so please take the time to remove any Promo and/or Mythic cards from your selected heroes before the tournament.
- Verify you have tournament allowed heroes and updated leaflets (more info below, find the )
- Ensure that all hero decks include only the standard cards for that hero, matching the number of cards listed on their leaflet. Duplicates of cards will not be allowed.
Start of the Round
Each player will roll twice. Once to determine first to ban. Another to determine first player.
FIRST ROLL - Determine First Participant to Ban
- Each player rolls a die. Highest value wins.
- Winner of the die roll can:
- Be first or second player to ban 1 of their opponents 3 characters.
SECOND ROLL - Determine First Player
- Roll a die, highest value wins.
Winner of the die roll can:
- Choose to be first player, and make the first hero choice.
OR
- Have the opponent (the other player) be the first player, and make the hero choice.
Important Information
- Each participant to keep track of the starting player.
- Once time is called, play continues until both participants have completed an equal number of turns. Then the match ends immediately. (This does not mean each player will get an extra turn at the end of the game).
- Total health remaining of each participant at the end of each round is also recorded (and used the 3rd tie break in the event of a tie in the group stage).
- First player skips income phase.

- Dice Throne Season One: Rerolled Heroes.
- Dice Throne Season One Heroes - The most recent printing removed the word “rerolled” from the box.
- Character List: Barbarian, Moon Elf, Pyromancer, Shadow Thief, Monk, Paladin, Ninja, Treant.
- Dice Throne Season Two Heroes
- Required: Updated leaflets for Tactician, Huntress and Vampire. Most recent copies of Tactician, Huntress and Vampire are provided with updated leaflet. You can verify your copy /print a copy or order an official copy from the store.
- Character List: Samurai, Gunslinger, Tactician, Huntress, Artificer, Cursed Pirate, Seraph, Vampire.
- Marvel Dice Throne Heroes
- Required: Updated leaflets for Thor and Spider-Man. This updated leaflet is not required until distribution of Marvel X-Men Dice Throne has started in Q3/Q4 2024. Verify Your Copy / Print a Copy.
- Character List: Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Thor, Miles Morales: Spider-Man, Loki, Scarlet Witch, Dr. Strangle, Black Widow.
- Character List: Wolverine, Storm, Iceman, Psylocke, Rogue, Jean Grey / Dark Phoenix, Cyclops, Gambit.
- Deadpool
Heroes Not Allowed In Tournament Play
- Original print run of Dice Throne Heroes (6 hero box published by Mind Bottling Games or Roxley Games).
- Mythic Cards
- Promo cards (this does not include alternate art cards).
Allowed But Not Required
Judges and Event Organizers may restrict use of these items at their discretion.
- Any playmats you would like to use.
- Any dice tray you would like to use.
- Any dice tower you would like to use.
- Any Age alternate art cards (Example: Age of Destruction alternate pyro board / destruction cards).
Leaderboards & Rankings
At the conclusion of each ranked tournament, players will accrue points based on their placement on the event's leaderboard. Players ranking on the national / regional leaderboards will be based on their 3 best performances. Players can participate in as many tournaments as they'd like, but only their top 3 performances will be used for the position on the leaderboard.
